---++ DBG/400

DBG/400 was the first free software utility I created, hence the name for the site. It consists of a number of integrated utilities that help in setting up and maintaining an environment (library, files, data areas and data) suitable for testing your applications. I'm Martin Rowe, a Senior Analyst/Programmer with [[http://www.moores.co.uk][Moores]], a large UK furniture manufacturer where I've been since 1992. Prior to that I worked for a software house in the Midlands, where I started my AS/400 career (back in 1990). I'm married with two young children (Ben, 10 and Heather, eight). If you're interested, have a look at our (rather out-of-date) [[http://jamaro.org.uk][family album]] and more recent pictures (though not yet with many comments) on my [[http://jamaro.homelinux.org][home server]]. My family absorbs most of my spare time (kids have way of doing that ;-) ), but I occasionally manage to get away to my two local Linux User Groups: West Yorkshire [[http://www.wylug.org.uk][WYLUG]] and York [[http://www.york.lug.org.uk][YLUG]]. Another recent project is maintaining the website for [[http://www.wetherbycivicsociety.org.uk][Wetherby Civic Society]].

I'd like to get a more local group going, so if anyone is interested in a [[WetherbyLinuxUserGroup][Wetherby Linux User Group]] I'd like to hear from you.

There isn't a specific mailing list for DBG/400 - just email me direct if you have specific questions/comments. 

There is a list for Open Source Software on the AS/400 / iSeries / System i where you'll find updates and announcements on these and other utilities available from a wide range of OSS projects. The list also serves as a platform for discussion on licensing issues, project ideas, and anything else (on topic) related to iSeries OSS. Joining is easy: just head on over to the handy subscription page over at [[http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/oss400][Midrange.com - OSS400]]. Do join in and get involved :-)
